AD of the week: P&O Ferries

P&O Ferries released a new advert this week which showed people getting more and more excited about being able to travel again.

P&O wants to make ferries a choice for the flying generation, who don’t think of ferries when choosing to travel abroad. The director of passenger sales Sarah Rosier has said “as a market leader that for over 180 years P&O has ferried curious travelers on their dream adventures for generations, we have the foundations to inspire this intrepid generation and feed their desire for freedom by rediscovering the uniqueness of ferry travel for years to come.”

In the advert a woman can be seen throwing blue paint to look like a wave, a man sculpting mash potatoes, a nurse looking at a mask which looks like a wave, a couple sat in a campervan looking miserable, a woman holding a seashell up to her ear whilst a man stands in a bucket, and then holidaymakers travelling to the port and ending with a video of a ferry at sea with the words “To the sea” and a voiceover of someone saying the sea is calling.

This advert is our choice of the week because everyone in lockdown can see and understand the feelings of everyone in the advert, the uplifting and funny situations add great humor to a great advert.
